17th of August after the Operation about 17:30
Our dear friends,
just I came from the intensiv care unit. Puschels operation endured about 8 hours. The best message of this is: The operation was very good! And we´re very thankful to our God! But the not so good message is: The doctors had to cut  the sciatica nerv! 
Now Puschel will not longer be able to move her foot. certainly the most important functions of her right leg will be! Puschel will be able to walk and to do anything with her legs, certainly with handicap, .
How it will be with her continence is in this time not completly clear. But we are hopefully that it will be good. For 3 days sh has to stay now at the intensiv care. And 14 day she has to lay in the bed. Then she can try to move and to walk. When I was with Puschel she could speak normally but  I thought I couldn´t hear right: she could whisper to me a joke...! Thank you for all your support! Thank you soooo much for all your prayer.God bless you so. I will give you new messages soon

Dear friends,
a lot of you like to get specific informations about tomorrow.
About an hour ago we had talks with different doctors. (Anästesie, surgery) which includes the surgent (Dr.Thunn) who will lead the whole operation.
He explained Puschel again what they will operate on and the risks it can have. The plan ist still the same. The MRI and the CT didn´t show a big change. Except the inflammation decreased.
Now it depends all, one time more, on our God.
The surgery will be tomorrow morning, 17th of Oktober around 8am. At 7.30am Puschel is on her way to the operation-room. The surgery lasts aproximatly 6 - 8 hours. Right after finishing the operation, Dr. Thunn will call me on my cellphone, consequently I can see our daughter and I´ll give you information about everything as soon as possible! Word of honour! Maybe it lasts until 8pm or later.

We told Dr. Thunn, that many, many people will pray for him, his doing and decisions during the surgery. If he understood the meaning of this? We don´t know. It isn´t important.

We want to share three things with you, which seems us important to bring before our god for tomorrow:

- please pray, that God may guide all decisions, the doctors have to make tomorrow during the surgery, hat HE really may lead their hands and thaughts. There are so many criterions to consider tomorrow for them. And the doctor entrusted us, that even he is nervous for tomorrow...

- please pray, that the  nerves and nerve roots are still healthy and not enclosed by the tumor!!

- pray, that god sourrounds especially Puschel, but also you all, with HIS protection and HIS deep peace, even in sight of the possible consequences of this heavy surgery.
We don´t know, what God intends. But, we know, that we can TRUST him and that HE has the authority to effectuate wonders. Even when it seems hopeless - God is in control!

Dear friends,
now I´ve got access to the internet again, so I want to give you a short update. Yesterday Puschel “moved” to the clinic again, like it was planned. When we arrived, our father in heaven gave us a gift right away. When we got to the ward, we were told (without even having introduced ourselves): “Yes, the male nurse Jürgen is already expecting you. Please got to the other information desk over there.” When we got there, Jürgen introduced himself and told us that he knows our family and was looking forward to meeting us. Many years ago he was in the bible college Falkenberg (that’s the college that Puschel´s grandpa was running for many years). After graduating the bible college Jürgen then decided to go to nursing school and thus being able to use both educations in the same job. Now he is in charge of the ward that Puschel will be at in the coming days. So he will be taking care of her!

Yesterday the doctors did the MRT and today CT, EKG and some smaller investigations are on the schedule. After that we´ll take a little tour through Berlin, while God will show the doctors, what HE wants them to do in the coming days.

13th of August

So toorrow we have to go to Berlin for preparing Puschel for the planned operation. She had a very good time at home. You see and saw it by the pictures.
We are so glad, so happy to have so many brothers and sisters with us at the next time in love and in prayer for Puschel.
We will go and know that our Lord has all things under control. He ist the real doctor, HE is our shepherd, HE can do it...
We will always keep you informed about Puschels status.

Yes all each days does have the own problems and questions. And this is not only for Puschel but also for you all.
May be the pictures of the sail trip and others can give you a little wrong impression. It is very good. But in the biginning of each days Puschel has to fight against nausea and weakness. She is getting good all these days by looking to other times since the Chemo begun. Nevertheless it would be great if you would pray for keeping away the daily nausea. Thank you so much.
Puschel wants to be active every days. You can see it by these photos  of Puschel in our nature here.
Puschel is looking at each new day. Its a good gift of our God in Puschels live to can look at all good things and take each day how it will come. Its better not to look at the next week with all thing what will come soon.

Today I want to tell you a new story. Each day has an own story...
In the morning Puschel was not so good. Yesterday and today sha had to fight a little bit with nausea and weakness. In the afternoon she could lie outside in the sunshine. Later she wanted to ride in the neighborhood.
But it wasn´t possible today. But today we had very nice weather with sunshine and a good wind. So Silas, Puschels brother, prepaired our sailboat... It was a very nice sail trip... a very sporty trip... you can see it at the photos... Puschel could have training for her muscles... And in the front of the boat it was very wet and then cold...So a hot bath was the right thing after that.
It was a very nice day for Puschel and for us. She can enjoy about each day

Dear friends,
I would like to explain you what happens for Puschel on 16th or 17th of August. I will do this only for you information and for your concrete prayer, not to make you weary. Someone of you asked about the way of operation.On the top you can see Puschels pelvis from front- and backside. You can see the bones of Puschels pelvis and what the cancer had changed at the bones (backside picture).
First: All cuts in the  pelvis have to be in the healthfully areas of the bones. And now you can see in this pictures some yollow points. These are the fixpoints for cutting through. So you can imagine that the statics of Puschels body will be much destroyed. The desroyed part of the pelvis has to be stabilized by other bones of Puschels body, my be by bones of her legs (fibula).
The other big, may be the biggest, problem is that a lot of nerves are in this area. It could be that some roots of the nerves are destroyed by the cancer. Some of them are important for the continence some for other functions.
And now would you like to pray that all of them are okay and not destroyed by the cancer? This big operation will need 6-8 hours with a big team of doctors

You can see: Puschel was riding two times at the last days... It is so great to see it after the last hard time at the hospital... Its a very nice gift of God for her and for us. So Puschel can rest and get energy and power for the next we know hard steps after two weeks... It is so good for building her muscels. She had a little pains by riding because her legs and backside is very small... But she got much joy by rif´ding and walking in the nature at home... So she can eat better. And it´s good for her complete status.
Now we are very excited and looking forward for what God will do with Puschel at the next time! It is so good to know that HE will make all things good. Therefore we can commit our way to the LORD. We want to trust HIM for all time!! Thank you ever and ever for all your love and prayer

Dear friends
now we have a target date for the planned syrgery for Puschel. It shall start on 16th or 17th of August. Puschel has to come to the hospital on 14th of August (Tuesday). Then she has to make a lot of Tests before (MRI, CT and others). And then will start the big operation.
So Puschel has two weeks for rest and recover at home. It´s a good schedule for getting more power and energy before.
For next times I want to explain you the most important things of this to understand the biggest difficulties and necessaries of these. So you can pray better and more directly for Pushel.

Is it okay to look now at a few photos of Puschel. They show you that Pusche is present getting good. Of course we all are looking to the next period of time in the hospital  what will going out in the surgery. But we´re very glad to see that Puschel is able to take pleasure in each day. God gave her the possibility to enjoy each moments.

Today I would like to give you two important informations:
1. Puschel is  getting good. But she is still at the hospital, because the doctors will make tests of her blood. We´re glad to have Puschel in good medicaql environments. But she need aenough time to rest at home before the operation will start. We hope and pray that she will come home tomorrow...
2. Some of you transferred money at the last time for Puschels bell project. It is an amazing experience to see it. Puschel needed for production of the bell all in all 3250,-€. And now she got from you all 2830,-€. In the end it will be a little bit cheaper, so we could order the bell at the last time. It needs about 8 weeks. In this time we have to look how the transport we can execute.
So we wanted to say so many thank to you all who had given her the possibility for that. It is an amazing thing and really an encouragement for Puschel!! Tank you so much! We will keep you informed about this project.

You could read that Puschel is doing good.She onliy wants to go home... The Problem is that the doctors don´t want to take risks with her. They said evidently ones more that Puschels life was so much in danger at the last week. The blood poisoning and other infections were really fatal for her life. Now they wants take tests with all her possibilities before she could go home.
And Puschels desire to go home on Thuesday is awqy. And also on Wednesday , may be Thursday too. Now we´re hopefully to get her here on Friday.
But we´re glad to know that these hospital and the doctors there are the best medical solution for Puschel. We´re glad for all medical possibilities. But we know too that only God has it under HIS control!!
Tomorrow Eva--Maria.her mom will voyage to Berlin to stay with Puschel until her coming back. I myself have to go to Sweden again to stay ther few days with our youth group and pick up them at Saturday this week. 
Today was the beginning of the Camp of grandchilds in Bülow (about 35 grandchilds of grandpa Holmer) where Puschel wanted to be. We hope that she can come Friday to her cousins...
Since today Puschel is an aunt because her oldest brother Titus became a young daddy!! So it´s a new reason to wants to go home...
So we are so very thankful to our God to hold Puschel in HIS hands at the last week. We could see HIS work and is  hand sometimes. Would you like to give thank with us?

It is so good to have a Lord who will hear our crying whenever we wants to cry! Everytime we can talk with HIM!Today Puschel and me were talking about Dalai LAma and all “religious mixtures”. This showed us how good we can live as childs of God our father in heaven. HE is a person who is opposed to us and for HIM nothing is impossible.
And it´s so good to know that you all are beside Puschel in standing before HIS face and throne.
Today Puschel is getting better again. We could walk together three times. And now we are hopeful to can go home on Monday or Tuesday. There it is much mote nice for Puschel to rest and to get energy and power. And we´re thankful for getting all medical possibilities alltimes. And we say thanks to our God for beeing beside Puschel and us all the time. Would you like to thanks HIM with us and pray furthermore for Puschel! Thank you so much again! You´re an amazing heavenly family!!

It is good to write good messages here. Puschel is conntected to a lot of medical devices, but its only for watching not for acute necessity. You can see it in the photos.
So Puschel has a good  stability again. And we are hopsfully to get her at home in the next days.
Today Puschel was able to walk around again and to eat her “legendary” salami baguette.
At home she will rest and recover her body. And we hope she can get more power and energy for the planned operation.

20th of July

Today it is a little better than yesterday. Now Puschel is without drops for this day. therefore she is trying to walk around. Her muscles are more and more weak. So she has to try to walk again and again... Her status in´t very good, she is weak, but she is going each days a little bit better. The fever is under control. And at this time her nausea is away. So we are hopefully to can pick up Puschel in the first half of the next week.
At home she is able to rest and to be stronger for the operation two weeks later. May be this will be later and out of the plan of the doctors. They planned to start the surgery on 7th of August.
Tomorrow I want to got to Berlin and Eva-Maria will go home to be here and prepare all for coming back  Puschel and for the camp of about all grandschilds of family Holmer.Every years the grandpa of Puschel leads a camp with the most of his 49 grandchilds to show them Jesus and a live with HIM. And it is a great desire of Puschel to be here for this time.
So I think God wants to make it possible for her.

Sorry it is a little bit a one way street because Puschel is not able to answer all your mails and to give back your love. In the last days it was very different with all things for Puschel. She came home to participate in the Pommfest. And few ours later she was in a hoapital again. Then she cam to the hospital in Berlin and there in the intensive care unit. Now, since yesterday she isback to the normal area, but in a special watching room for one person. There she is connect to the oxygen machine, she has to get many different drops for pain, ahgainst the fever and others. Her fever is away, but in this moment only thru the medicine by drops. It is not real good. And we are not sure, of she will can go home aerlier than in 14 days. The doctors are very surprised by such many different problems.
Now Puschel has to go to a lot of test and attempts. It´s not the time for rest and recoverher body in the view of the  coming operation. May be that the operation will start later, I hope it because this planned surgery will be a very big thing.
Now Eva-Maria, Puschels Mom is with her at the hospital. And I will go home today at the night from Sweden. We will stay with Puschel alltimes as possible. And it´s wunderfull and helpfull and encouraging to know that you will stay with Puschel and us in prayer. God bless you all!
For the weekend a good girlfriend of Puschel from Colorado came to visit her at home. But when she was in Bülow, Puschel just was at th hospital. Then in Berlin Kirsten could visit Puschel for a half our at the intensiv care unit...

July, 18th - Last Update
Just in this time I´m in Holsbybrunn, Sweden. Right now I got the very good message from Eva-Maria, the Mom of Puschel, that she could go back to the normal area of the hospital!!! Thank you, Lord! Thank you all for your prayer! I doesn´t know more at this time, but the fever is away, and the blood levels too. Now Puschel is on the way to be better ...! (18th of July, 17:30

July, 18th

Sometimes it happens so much that you can’t tell about all news.
Yesterday Puschel came back to Berlin because of high fever and the doctors helped with all their possibilities.
In Berlin she has the best circumstances and medical devices. But also these special doctors have limits. Everyday we can see that HE has all things in control and this is one of the best thing we could experience. HE’s loyal to us and he’s thinking good. Sometimes you just live from what is inside your heart. So it’s good to know that Puschel is connected with Jesus deep in her heart. Now we know that the high fever is caused through a blood poisoning. Probably she has an infection in her bronchial tubes, too. Today there were a lot of tests (CT and other).
Through the inset of a lot of medicaments her fever receives a normal level. So Puschel is able to go back to the normal station soon.

July, 17th
Dear friends,
would you like to pray for Puschel just in this time?? Puschel is since today in the morning at the intensive care unit of the hospital in Berlin. She was getting a “hardcore infection” in her body. And it´s not clear, why and  wherefrom it was coming. We want to pray for the doctors to have wisdom for all decisions. Now in this time she has many tests and is conected to many different medical machines or devices. We know that the doctors are the best for Puschel. But may be, that they haven´t a clear direction for this. So we knows that our Lord is there! And HE has it in control! Thank you very much for all special prayers for Puschel. God bless you all!

July, 16th

Now it´s time for an update.... I wanted to show you pictures of Puschel and the Pommfest at the last weekend. And Puschel was very happy to have time with the Pommfest. Now I have to show this pictures later....
Yesterday in the night sudden Puschel got a high body temperature, higher and higher. At midnight it was 40,2°C. Too much to let Puschel sleep the whole night. So we had to bring her to the hospital in Teterow...
We could sleep just three hours, and then we got the message: Puschel has to go to Berlin to the special clinic. Ok, so we had to bag all things for Puschel...
she was so happy to be at home....
Our hope and prayer is to get her fast here. God can give  the doctors a view and  possibility to know, what is good.
And we are very glad to have in our country good medical circumstance to can help Puschel in this. But we should pray that our Lord will lead them because the doctors have limits for their work...

Puschel is coming home right now!!! She will come with Luci by the ambulance in about two ours. And then she can participate by the Pommfest a little bit. She is feeling better now, better than yesterday! Thank you for all!!! Praise God! HE has it under control. HE is allmighty. And HE can...!! Keep you informed!

Now Puschel is in the hospital in Berlin for the last time before the operation should start. She is not so good in this time, because the side effects of the chemo are real hard for her. It is nice to know her girlfriend from Bülow with her in Berlin. Luci was coming on Thursday to stay there to Saturday and to come back with her tomorrow at the lunch time . We are so hopfully that Puschel will come back on Saturday. She wants to be involved  in the Pommfest a little bit - our Christian festival what started  here in Bülow.today
The doctors wants to have Puschel in the hospital for the weekend to watch her with all her problems on her skin and with her nausea. If you want you can pray that Puschel will be able to come home tomorrow.
And then she should have time for the next three weeks to rest and recover before the operatian will start. The plan of the doctors is to begin this at the 6th of August. But God has an own plan... Thank you for all prayers!!

July, 14th

July, 12th

Sorry, for I couldn´t write news from Puschel for you at the last time. We had too much trouble here....
Now I will let you know how is Puschel doing. She should start the chemo on wednesday, but cause her low levels of blood she couldn´t do this. so the chemo was starting today in the morning. 4 hours was that enduring. Now Puschel gets water for all time to saturday. And then we hope she can come home.
Tomorrow I will drive to Berlin with Luci, Puschels friend from Bülow. She will stay there for the next two day and come home together with Puschel.
And we hope and will pray that Puschel will rest and recover from the chemo very fast. So she could live through the “Pommfest” on Saturday and Sunday...
Today Puschel get the first tim in the new hospital a second woman in her room. But Puschel has only two days to her coming home...
Today she had pains in her stomach area again. Please pray, that the side effects are not so much, so Puschel has more energy for staying there and coming home.

Today I haven´t new photos, but I will tell you about Puschels situation.
Now she is in Berlin again for the last step of chemo. This chemo has many side effects, especially for her mucosas in her mouth. So Puschel has everytimes to rinse or to drink tea of camomile or sage.
But the big problem now is, that all her blood levels are very low. So today is not clear, if she can start the chemo therapy tomorrow. The doctors will decide this tomorrow after a new blood test in the morning.

Puschels desire is to be at home in the week end. There will start the “Pommfest” on Friday at the lunch time. And then we hope to be there - after the chemo... God has it under control.
And in HIM we want to trust. And HIM we want to say thank you for all HIS help and power and love. He has carried Puschel until today. ANd HE will carry her in the future.

July, 8th

Now let me tell you a little story about the last night. We had to take the thermometry as every days. And this was  high,. So if it would go two points higher we had to bring Puschel in the hospital. So we had not a plan, what we could do. So we only could go to our father in heaven to ask HIM if HE could give us a direction. Normally the thermometry goes higher in the night and we were anxious, that we had to bring Puschel to Perlin in the night.
We said to God: You know, that Puschel would like so much to be here in Bülow even for Sunday. And please let the thermometry go two points down and not to points up. In the night at 1:00 we had to take the thermometry again.... But God doesn´t let go the thermometry two points down! HE let it go four points down...!!
So we could have the Sunday with Puschel in Bülow... Thank you Lord!
Thank you all for your prayer! So the father will remember to HIS child Puschel alltimes... and see our trust and out love to HIM.
So tomorrow we have to go to Berlin for the last time before the operation. We pray, that it will be a good week before the “Pommfest”, our Youth Concert in Bülow with 8 differents music groups from Germany and Pland and USA. It will be a missionary event. And it would be great, if you would like to pray for this week end.

July, 7th
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Eph 6,10

Now Puschel is at home again. It is not self-evident because Puschels blood levels are not good The MTX chemo is good away, but her leucos (the white blood cells) are really down. And the doctors doesn´t want Puschel go let at home
We coud only pray: our father, you know, what is good for Puschel. You know, what she need. Anf God does it know: He does know, that Puschel can rest and recover much better. We are very thankful about the doctors can do for Puschel, but at home Puschels Mom can care her daughter. And the fellowship and rest and quiet in Bülow are good for Puschel.

July, 5th

Puschel is getting better! Drop by drop...! Today we had to go with all Drops and bed an clothes in a total new clinic building. A very big building with many parts. Here you can lost your orientation quickly. But meanwhile we are professionalists...
Tomorrow we hope Puschel will go at home for this weekend. Monday she has to go again for the last MTX before the doctors plans the operation.
Today the doctor show us Puschels pelvis on the computer in 3D modelling. He explained  each steps of his plan. And it is his plan, may be not HIS plan
Our prayer is, that Puschels nerves roots are okay and not destroyed by the tumor. God can give this and a good assessment from the doctors. He can make them amazed! HE is our father in heaven! In HIM we want to trust!

July, 4th
Sometimes it will go better or not so good. Now it is not so good... Puschel has to fight against her nausea after the chemo drop of MTX. The last night was not good. And today Puschel is very tired.
Tomorrow she has to go from the old clinic building in a very new one. I will show pictures tomorrow in the night... And also tomorrow we will have a next talk with the doctor who shall do the surgery in the next time. The decision about the operation will be depend from the tests in the next time.
My desire is to have enough time for Puschel after the last chemo (next week) before the surgery has to go. And the doctor needs a vakation for two weeks. We pray that the doctor can get this vacation...! Then Puschel has enough time. And may be that the doctors will see after this the great might and glory of our father in heaven...!! God can do that the chemo will do this work or he can speek HIS word of creator to restore Puschels bones. Thank you for your prayers, also for Puschels momentarily situation!

July, 2th
Now Puschel is in Berlin again for the next chemo. It is the MTX. And we are very excited for what God will do in the next time with Puschel.Before we were going in the hospital, we asked our father in heaven about good circumstances there. And what I can tell you?? We came in a room for three people...
But there we are alone!! Puschel has quiet for working, for praying, for reading. And we have time together. We have a wunderful God. The nurses are friendly, and we had a good talk with the doctor.
You see, in the moment Puschel is in a good time. And we thank you all for you stay with her and with us, for praying, for thinking about Puschel. God bless you.
On Thursday Puschel has to change the clinic in this week. She has to come in e new build hospital. I will give you pictures of this in the next time.

Trust in God we have allways - trust in HIS might and love. HE is our father. And He is a father, for whom nothing is impossible! He is worthy to trust in. We want to stay in this and have joy in HIS words. Think great about our God! HE is the best father for us!
Today Puschel could come the first time with us to our Sunday service. Our service was in the first evangelical lutheran church building in a village of Germany (and so the world!!) You can see this under www.bristow.de . There she could sing a worship song with our youth group. You see, it was a good time at home for Puschel in the last days.
Tomorrow in the morning we have to go to Berlin for the next Chemo (MTX). This Chemo will be the problem for Puschels mucosa ( especially in the mouth) and for her kidneys.
And then we ar looking forward how God will lead Puschel in the next time!!

I can cite the word of yesterday: “The beginning of this day was a little scare for us for Puschel had so strong pains in her backbone in the sphere of her tumor.”
But today it was Puschels knee. How good is it to have good medicine. So Puschel could get a strong dosis morphium to have a great easement for this day. Now she is able again to make all things what will give her fun and the possibility to do anything. We are happy to have some good days before she has to go to the next chemo. Now we know, that she has to go to Berlin an Monday again. So she can go back an Friday of the next week. This chemo will be a little bit lighter than the last part of this. Otherwise it will fight against her mucosa and the kidneys.  This will go two times for the next two weeks.
And only God is able to know what will be afters this!! The doctors plan is to have a very hard operation (surgery). But some of you are praying that this will not be necessary. How good is to know that God has it in control!!!
Therefore Puschel is able to have a smile in her face at all times (without the time with hard pains...) Puschel is much protected in the arms of God  and knows that HE has a perfect plan for her life.
And its so good to see that HE want to work with us in this world and we can always live with HIM.

Sometimes somebody of you said thanks to us for updating this website. But in truth we are very thankful to you for looking at this homepage to get informations about Puschel for praying for her. It´s the best what we can get from you all. Thank you so much!!
The beginning of this day was a little scare for us for Puschel had so wrong pains in her backbone in the sphere of her tumor. She dosn´t know, how she can move her body. She walked around, she laid down her body,it was terrible to see her pains and can´t do anything. Than we tried a “new pressure therapy” and gave her morphium and were praying a long time. And when the doctor came, it was 12:00, the pains suddenly were away!! Puschel was wondering by herself. Bu it was away!
Now Puschel has energy again and power to walk around without such pains. After lunchtime Puschel could go outside and try to drive with her bike!! God was so good to us!
In the afternoon Puschel could drive with the “John Dere” to cut the gras for our music festival two weeks later... You can see it by picture three!
It was a special day with happy end. Now Puschel is connected to her food drop to get more energy of being strong and have more stability. Her blood test are much better than in the last days.
So we can learn each days, what Jesus means with his words in Mathew 6,34!! Today it was a good new lesson.

Puschel is getting a little better. I have to say a Hello from her to you. Sometimes she has still stomach cramps. And with this much pains. But since two days she get the food by a drop. This is a concentrated food. So we hope that she can recover to walk around soon a little bit.

June, 22th
Today it looks much different to yesterday. I think, in the last night came the side effects of the last very hard chemo. In the last night Puschel get more and more contractions of her stomach (nearly without nausea). So today she could eat anything. She was trying to drink, but now it is necessary to have a drop for water. May be that tomorrow she will need a drop for food.
But it is good to heve the possibility to see that erlier than in the last time after this hard step of chemo (about 4 weeks ago). Now wecan do something against this side effects.
So we thank you all for your prayers for Puschel to can rest and recover in the next 10 days before she has to go to the next step. I will keep you informed.
It is wunderful to know that God has all this in control. HE is our loving heavenly father.
Now our youth group is in a service for them by learning how we can live in connect to JESUS in prayer everytime and in all things in our life. The LORD will show us his Power! Praise to HIM!

June, 21th
Yesterday we were able to go to a dentist a friend of ours to get the tooth fixed. It went really fast and well. The dentist said that the Salvadorien Dentist did an exelent job a year ago, So thanks to the dentist in El Salvador  :-)

Thank you for all your prayers, questioning about her condition, mails and signts of love.

I will keep you updated. I mind strech the time a little bit since there is not a lot new going on. Just check evey 2 days and please continue to pray. Puschel is enjoying her vacation were she trys to get weight back and trains her muscls that she can take the next steps of all the therapies. The bike on her sight is a good thing for her right now, because her muscles are very weak and her balance not the best right now.

June, 20th
Its nice to see how Puschel enjoys the time at home. Today she walk with her bike to hold on a bit through our vilage to get her muscles back and to get good air thorugh her lungs. Maybe some time soon she can sit on the bike, if her strenght and her pain let her do it. Even if the next therapy mind take her down again its good to build up long and much she can. And a much bigger challange would be the surgery and the time afterwards. But God if he wants can heal her bones and take the bad part away so she would not even need the surgery. Thats our prayer. And for sure we will keep you updated. Through an aticle in a christian Magazine, Puschel received even more prayerpartners. Thank you for all your constant paryers and care. Especial she knows to be prayed for through her sisters and brothers in El Salvador so she is able to come back some day. But she knows as well and thats her desire that God gets the Glory in what ever plans God may have for her life. If Life or death or sickness or health.Thats our priority prayer. (Phil 1,20)
Oh something happend tonight. Puschel got reminded that about a year ago she had an accident with her front teeth. She swollowed a corner of one of them and gave us a countrygirl smile. Therefore we will have to take a trip to the dentist tomorrow. May she have enought energy for that

June, 18th
Today in the morning Puschel could go home. when we were walking to our car Puschel realized that she is a very sick young lady. She was extremly weak on this short way to the car. So we were happy, that we have a car where Puschel can lie down. For our americans: it is a Crysler Voyager...! On the whole trip Puschel was sleeping
And now she is hopefully to have a good time with possbility to rest and recover in the next fourteen days. At home is at home!
In the next time we will expect that her immune-system will go down. We have to look for a little distance to all her friends and visitors...

Today we took this photo (on the top right) in the hospital in Berlin. You can see, that Puschel is doing very well in this time. That´s really a graceful gift of our LORD. It´s not normal or self-evident, you know . Tomorrow we can go at home, now for two weeks. Then Puschel can have “vacation” and can rest and restore here maltreat body... And than afters this two weeks she has to go again to two weeks chemo . And the plan of the doctors for Puschel is to do the surgery. But may be, that God has a different plan...

Since yesterday Puschel is in the hospital in Berlin again. Now in the beginning she is laying in a room for two persons. This is very good for her, so she can rest an work and read and write a little. And she can let work this “poison-medicin”-chemo in her body. This thaought is not so easy, but it is nessesary, you know. After this step of chemo Puschel can go at home for two weeks. By possibly this week will be hard in the next days. Would you like to pray, that it will not be so hard like the last time of this chemo four weeks ago? Then she was completely down and had to go to the small hospital in Teterow, you remember?
The days at home are so good for Puschel. You can see it by the picture on the top left. Our surroundings are soooo good and  healthful for her.

On Monday Puschel had a second surprice: Family Bruhn - a nice family of our church has a business for landmachines (american machines...). They had a celebration for 10 years this business. And they started a tombola (like lottery?) for Puschel herself  an her bell-project for the farm in El Salcador. By the pictures you can see the consigning of the result of this.

Today Puschel got a wunderful surprise and with this a big happiness. Now she is her friends and brothers and sisters in San Salvador a big step closer. There you never can drink a cold drink without a lot of pieces of water ice (I don´t know, if you heve a seperate word for this...).Now it is a warm summer here in Germany. And ice would be very good for all drinks. So Puschels Godfather and Godmother (they are a couple in south of East Germany) bougth together with their family (8 children!) and a friend who is a seller of facilities for household a very good icemaker (machine for this pieces). And now Puschel can do in all drinks ice like in El Salvador!!!

Can you imagine, what it is for Puschel, to sit here and have quite and rest and her own surroundings??? Puschel ist back from the hospital. Her Situation  is better than before she was going there! Praise the LORD! Thank you with us?
Ok, she has to go there again in the next week for another, harder chemo. But please pray with us, that she can rest enough for this time. and now is coming her other girlfriend from Austria (Eva) to go and stay for a few days with her in the next week. Thank you for all your prayers and your love and signs of love!!!

June, 8th

Now we are closely ready with this part of Chemo. And Puschel is doing well at this time. Eva-Maria is still with her in Berlin. And tomorrow they will come at home, may be at the lunch time.
You can see Puschel at this photo. Her feeling is much better, although her medical situation is the same as before. Certainly her nausea is not coming so often and so hard. So she can do anything and a lot of own things together with her mom. Thats a reason to be thankfull to our God.

June, 7th
Now I am back at home from Berlin. At last days there was  Myriam, Puschels girlfriend, now Eva-Maria for the next two days. Myriam is going back to south of Germany and with her Esther, the sister of Puschel. She was at home for a few of days to visit her sister. On saturday she has to work again at the “Bodenseehof” (Torchbearers Bible Shool)
Puschel has much more energy to do  something self. Sometime it is not so well, but she is more activ, so she can come out of her deep. When we were coming in the clinic, Puschel and her friend Myriam and her cousin Mirjam were in the entrance with the drop-stand. And it was good to see her there. She is weak, but she is walking so good as she can.
Thank you for thanking an praying...! We are hopeful to have Puschel at home on saturday.

June, 6th
The currently Chemo is ready now. Puschel is weak, but okay. She was sleeping well at the night and today. Now she has to get the flushing drop for the next 70 hours. And then we hope to have Puschel on Saturday at home again. She will need enough energy for the next week. Then will start the hard Chemo from the beginning...
More and more Puschel is able to handle this all and to tive with this circumstances. She is weak an anytime she has biginning of nausea, but its not for her stomach, but from her nerves and the chemo. Now she can live still in a room for only one person. And we hope, she can do this so long as possible. Her friend Myriam stays with her there to thursday night. Then Eva-Maria will stay with Puschel to the end of this chemo. This photo with her shining face we only can take at home...

June, 5th
Now Puschel is in Berlin again. She get the third chemo. At the next week she will get the last chemo in this cycle. It will be the same chemo what she got in the beginning!! But we are hopeful, that Puschel can receive this better than before... Nowbody can get this venom mix as normal!! But this has to help Puschel, and we hope it will do this, but not only the side effects...
It was a nice thing of the havenly father, to give Puschel in the beginning of this chemo a single room. So she has more possibilities to rest and to prepare for chemo drop.
Our prayer is, that Puschel can stay in a  room for one or two people. But now her possibilities to live with not so good circumstances will be better and better. So I hope...
In the last day we could anytime go in the park (here in Bülow and today in Berlin) It will be strengthen her muscles in the legs and help her blood circulation.

Today Puschel was very well. She could eat, she could give jokes to us, she could enjoy for visitors. And she has visit her cousin for a short time in the afternoon.
The most joy even was surprise in the evening. Puschel get 2 little sweet cats (photo). Anytimes Puschel asked her Mom about cats or other little animals (you know thet Puschel like only God more than little animals - it´s e little joke..., you all are much more loved by Puschel...). And now she get it. We watched small tears in her eyes....
The best for Puschel is to be in the fresh air in our nature! You know Puschel...
We are very hopeful, that puschel can rest and recover tomorrow. On Thuseday she has to go to the next step of chemo. Now she can relish the time and the care at home. And this is nessecary, because she will not have a long break before the hard Chemo session will come in the week after. Thank you for all your prayer!!

IIs anything too hard for the LORD? Genesis 18,14

Someone of you were praying in the last hours for coming Puschel at home today. Thank you so much. For all, who doesn´t get the “special message” - here is this message for them (also by clicking on the small picture left on the top)!!

Now the Lord gave us, that Puschel can come at home just in this time. She will drive with ambulance with her girlfriend Myriam. So she can rest and recover in the next three days here in Bülow. On Thuesday she has to go to the next step of chemotherapy. In this night will come Puschel younger sister Esther to visit her for few days. Esther is working and studying at the “Bodenseehof” in the south of Germany. She couldn´t see Puschel all the time of her hard sickness.
Have so thanks for all your enduring interest and your prayers for Puschel. She will need it for a long time. God bless you for this great ministry for her and for all the people, who will get  Puschel witness of  Gods Power and goodness in the next time.

please pray for Puschel now in this time. She should can go home in two hours, but her blood tests are too bad, therfore she can´t go home. And Puschel has not more energy to stay there longer. June, 1th

Today Puschel had any problems in the hospital in Berlin. She get a stronger bandage against her pains on her shoulder but this was not good for her conditions. Today her nausea was back, not so hard, but yet back. Nobody knows, why, if because of the chemo or the bandage or because of the circumstances in this old hospital in Berlin.
Today Puschel had to go again in a room with three patients. Her uncle “Lumpi” and his wife visited her in the morning and said good bye. They had to go at home in Switzerland. But now Puschels (girl)friend Myriam stays with her all the time. It is very good for Puschel. Her conditions are near to the time before, when she came the first time from Berlin and was in the hospital in Teterow. And now it is particular good, that Myriam is there. So tomorrow they should come at home. We hope her test of blood are okay.
Please would you pray for better circumstances for Puschel for the next time in Berlin? Its very hard for Puschel to have so many disquiet and some nurses who are not really friendly. Puschel has to learn to be a little rigider with them...

May, 31th
To you, O LORD, I called; to the Lord I cried for mercy: “What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down in ti the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaime your faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD, be my help.”                    Psalm 30, 8-12

Yesterday Puschel could begin the second part of Chemo therapy. It was unsure, because she had to go to different checks. This part is not so hard as the first time of this. This part of chemo had to go for 4 hours, and than she had to get drops for cleaning her blood from the toxin of the chemo medicine. This now will going each days for all the time until the blood is clean. This is Puschels job now. But so she has time for reading her bible or watching a video with her girlfriend Myri, who stays with her all the time in the hospital.
Now we hope that Puschel can go at home an friday to have two days at home in Bülow. On monday, the 4th of june Puschel has to go to Berlin again for the next step.

May, 30th
Since yesterday Puschel is in the hospital in Berlin for the next step of chemo therapy. There she has to stay to friday or saturday. And then she has time at home for about three days In the next week she has the same progam. Puschel is well now. You can see it in this pictures.
Puschel could celebrate her birthday on the last sunday. Her Uncle “Lumpi” and his wife nicole and also her Godfather and Godmother from south of Germany could be here on this day. For Puschet it was very nice to heve visitors. She doesn´t have problems or low condition for this. when she is laying down she has not pains in her right leg although she doesn´t get so much medicine as before.

Today this report can be short. But 2 points I have to write:
1. Puschel is well. She is weak (and somebody of you knows Puschel and that it is not so easy for her, to be weak...), but she is well.
2. Puschel gave her hair good bye for a long time, may be some month. Her hair is away, but not her worthy personage. This she get from her contact and trust to the Lord Jesus and his love to her. For a girl it is surely unusual heavy to cut her hair, especially if she had nice long hair all the time of life. But until now in all this her joy and the peace is not away from her heart and her face. And this is also a result of your love and prayers! Thank you so much! God bless you all!

May, 23th
Somebody of you does like the photo with Puschels modern hairstyle. So we will show this again... Now Puschels hair is nearly away... We took a vacuum cleaner to take the old hair away... But it is so great to see, that Puschel take it so easy. We are looking forward to the “next generation” of her new modern hairstyle... But it will last a long time, because the Chemo will go on for next weeks or month...
But it is good to know, that we have a good father, who has to speek the last and the important words!
Puschel is doing well. She is hungry and has a good appetite. And we hope she can increase in this time, to have enough condition for that time, when she will need.
Ever and ever so thanks for all your prayers and emails and messages in her guestbook! It´s especially for Puschel but also for us a great support and encouragement, we never thought it. God, thank you for your great big family!!

Today Puschel was able to take bath. It was really nice. The social service changed the port, so Puschel is freer. But that made some little problems with her circulation (She almost passed out…). So after that she needed a little time out (for a longer time). But tonight she is well again.

Even if the pictures look like she would run around in the garden the whole time…the reality is, that she basically stays in her bed all the time. The little trip outside to her donkeys and sheep’s was only one time, but she enjoyed it. But still she is happy about the birds and the fresh air, what comes into her window.

May, 21th
Just in this moment we got the newest results of the test from Puschels blood. And we got the best thinkable results of this!!!Our Home doctor was nearly jumping in Puschels room because he enjoyed about this results...
So we are very thankful to our God for Puschel is so well in thios time.
Today she was the first time outside of the house - with her animals in our area (our big garden). Ok, she realized, that her pains are not complete away and her power in the legs is not really enough. But in this quietly environment here in Bülow she has the best conditions to rest in the next time for the next steps in her therapy.
On tuesday, the 29th of May Puschel has to got to Berlin again for the next step of therapy. But this will be a more light step than the first one. She has to get two of this Chemo in two weeks. So she has good time to rest an recover for the next hard Chemo (like the first one) now after three weeks.
But Puschel is confident because she has to go step by step and she has sooo many friends who will pray for her. And so she has a father in heaven who is beside her in each situations and will keep her whenever she need this.
Sooo much thank you for all your help an prayers and all!!!

Mai, 20th
Today Puschel got the results of the last blood test. It shows, that the white blood cells increased again. So that´s nice. A good think also is, that her pain decreased, even if she takes less pain killer.  That a reason to give thanks to our God. Our prayer to God is, that HE will do his work (if by chemo or HIS own word) thoroughly, before the operation is nessesary.

May, 19th
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by GOD.

Today Puschel get this vers by an eMail from a friend. Spontaneous Puschel said to me (so is Puschel...:-)) ”Ok, so God has not to count so much on my head in the future...”
Such photo like on top we will not be able to take in the next time! Just now up to today Puschel lost so many hairs, that only God byself can count them.
But Puschel can handle this (we too). She will not look  so nice and healthy like on this photo soon. But really Puschels blood picture looks very bad already in the last time.
The normal doctors will come in panic by this (so we could see this in the hospital in Güstrow).
Good to know, that our father in heaven is able to count not only the hairs on head but also the white blood cells in the whole body. So we have the possibility to be free of concerns.
Today we get the plan for the next steps for chemo therapy. We could tell about this with the doctors in Berlin.
They are glad if Puschel can be and rest in her home surroundings. That means also, that Puschel can stay here in Bülow until her birthday in May, 27th. So we have to go in the hospital in Berlin on Thuesday after that weekend (May 29th). And this will go three or four days, so Puschel can go home again on the weekend after.

The picture left shows very good, how is the feeling of Puschel. Wie are very glad and thankful for Puschel grows in strength and possibility to do things what was impssoble in the last time.
So she can perceive all your love and friendliness and support. That all ist sooo greath for her and very preciously.
All your letters and messages in the guestbook she see in the next days. And surely she will write something, almost, if it will be so good with her in the next time.
Tomorrow we have to call the team of doctors in Berlin. And we will get the plan for the chemotherapy  in the next time. Of course we will let you know and keep you informed.
Now Puschel kan rest few days and recuperate a little bit for the next step.

May, 17th
I Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength NEHEMIA 8,10

The last part of this vers wrote a friend to Puschel yesterday. But the whole vers is right for Puschels situation yesterday and today. She came at home yesterday. And we cold celebrate and eat and drink. Today in the morning she has to vomit (is this a nice word for a not nice thing??) But in the afternoon Puschel was better and better. She coul eat anything and it was ok! Now she get a drop with water all the day, becaus she is not able to drink so much as she needs for a day.
sometimes we spoke about the strength. And Puschel said: this is not so good by me in this time. But I said to her: may be, not in looking of your body. But God gave you a very good strentgh in you spirit and your whole life and in your relationshi to your God.
It´s very nice to see Puschels joy of the Lord and her strentgh in HIM.

In the night Puschel could phone with Gary Powell in El Salvador. And he asked her, what she would wish for the new Chapel in the new farm area, where the childs of “My Fathers House” will find a new home. The chapel will be the first building in this area on the highest place. And Puschel said to him: I wish you get a fine small bell on the top.
Now Puschel want to let made such small bell in Germany. And she asked me, if we could find friends, who would support this.

Mai, 16th

Can it be better? Thank you for all your prayers!!!!!! Thank you Lord for your spirit and for all your help!!!!! Our friends, have you seen the “message for the moment”? Even yesterday it seems so much confuse... An emergency car took Puschel with blue light and high speed in another hospital (Güstrow) for neurologic test, because her arms were shaking so much, that the doctor in Teterow was complete unsure. But the result of the test in Güstrow is very good!! the shaking was a result of the lot of medicine, what the body of Puschel had to absorb.
Only the Blood picture is not good, because the chemo therapy destroyed the white blood cells. But this is like the expectation of the special doctors in Berlin. The doctors in Güstrow came in panic of this and would keep Puschel in the hospital to give her medicine for this and to watch her status.
Puschel and me were praying together because Puschel was very well and Puschel wanted so much to go home. There were waiting friends of Sweden...
And we asked the doctor to call the specialists in Berlin. He does. And they said: It is normal, and at home Puschel would be more save for infection than in the hospital. So, we could go home!!!
Now Puschel is sleeping in her own bed! Thank you Lord! In the night Puschel was eating a salami baguette... Have a good night, Puschel! And you too!

May, 16th - Hot message just for the moment
Dear friends,
here a small “quick-report”. In the last night Puschel get a lot of muskle contractions in her arms. Therefore she came in another hospital for special tests. The doctor in Teterow wanted to be cautious, and she was unsure.
Just i am on the way to Güstrow to go to Puschel again (in the night I was by Puschel on the way there). It can be an easy thing, but we don´t know.
I will keep you informed, but just now I can´t tell you more.

May, 15th
Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly. Phil.1,14

These vers from the letter of Paul to the church in Philippi was in the center of our (Puschel and me) prayer time in the morning. Pauls strongest desire was to proclaim the message of Jesus by everyone  and somewise. And so also by his chains. And Puschels request to God is, that someone of us all will be able to trust more and more to our heavenly father.
And now we can see step by step, that God raise up her more and more. It is so good to see this. You can imagine, how is our feeling by this.
Today Puschel wanted to eat a (very) light bred. And then she was eating this two times. And it seems, that the nausea is away!!!
You all knows Puschel?? She asked me, if I would bring her a “salami-baguette” in the afternoon...:-)
So we knows Puschel! Thank you God! Thank you all for your love and prayers. And so thank you for all your letters, eMails and messages in her guestbook! All this is very encouraging for her and for us. So sorry, that she will not be able to answer you all in the next time. But it is a so great gift from God to were born (again) into a so great nice heavenly family.
Last but not least: Puschels pain is more and more smaller! We think that the pressure from the tumor an the Ischias is not longer so hard! Praise the Lord! It is much more easy to live and to go in the next phases of treatment!

Mai, 14th
Thanks to God! Puschel a little stronger (not real but you can see it) then before!
This first sentence can stay  also so today! It is a gift from God for us all! Because Puschel was in a very deep valley (collaps of dehydration, we think). In the last days she got enduring drops of food and fluidity. Therefore it is better and better with her status.
Today we got a little positiv modification:
The doctors of the special hospital in Berlin got a modified diagnosis of Puschels cancer. It is (not longer) a chondro sarcoma, but an osteo sarcoma. The five special laboratories in Germany, who are able to analyse this came together in her criticism.  And the result now: it is an osteo sarcoma! It is an cancer of bones. And this is little better because the chemo therapy will be more able to fight against this cancer!
And now the center of gravity of the whole treatment for the doctors is now more the chemotherapy, not the operation after. We  still need a miracle of God for his child Puschel! And we still trust HIM. But it is a little good message for us today.
Now I will go to the hospital to stay there with Puschel in my second night. Eva-Maria is just coming from there. Tomorrow I will inform you again... Thank you so much to you all!!

May, 13th
Thanks to God! Puschel a little stronger (not real but you can see it) then before!
When I came after our 2th service to Puschel in the horpital I could look in her great blue eyes and see: all her moves are very much more alive than before
We can be thankful for “little” things...!
Just now Eva-Maria is by Puschel. I will be ther for the night.
Now we can tell with Puschel a little bit  about different themes like before.
Thereby Puschel is amazing her father more and more. For her greatest interest is the glory of God. She was hearing by a young Lady, who visited her today (she is working in a home for children from families with great prolems) about a little girl who has´nt a father. And after this visit and when I came in here room she has tears in her eyes. I asked her, if she have anxiety or are sad. She said: “Now, but we have to pray, that such little children can get to know our father in heaven” It was lesson two or three or four for her father on earth...
Today we had this theme in the service in our church in Bülow...

May, 12th
Today Puschel was much less nervously. Sh was more peaceful and restfully. Her nausea is not completly away, but it was more relaxed.
Today she got synthetic food by drop. That gave her seeable more power.
In the night after my wedding service on this day she looked at me with her great eyes! It was a good great feeling for me. In the morning Eva-Maria, her mom was in the hospital.
Our hope is, that this “food” (in the last three days she don´t get food in her body) will gie her new power and an better feeling.
Her greatest encumbrance is weakness.
When I asked her, what i shall write on this page, her only sentence was: “...to get power and  all time.”
When I told her my thoughts for the sermon for the tomorow synday service (Matth 6,7-13), she said after a little break: “Daddy, don´t forget to say thanks to our God”
...I have to learn from my daughter... Thats also a reason to say thank to God. And so many thanks to all of you for all your prayers and encouragements!!! God bless you all!

Mai, 12th
Last update: Just (23:00 local time) I was coming from Puschel in the local hospital in Teterow. I could be there complet relaxed an do whatever I want. Puschel is in a room alone and the nurses are very careful with her. She get drops and medicine for her nausea. And now she is much better than before. We are very thankful, that God gave Puschel circumstances that are good to relax her stomach and all her body and nerves. And we thank God for the people who are so lovely with her.
And we thenk God for you all who are praying for our Puschel and our family. It is so great to get all your signs for your love and trust to God.

May, 11th
Now we had Puschel at home for a night. She was coming yesterday in the afternoon. But her only fight was against the nausea. That was being so in the whole night. And in this morning we had to give her in our local hospital in Teterow.
Now she is getting a special medicine via drop in her veins to bring her stomach stillness. And then we hope to give her at home rest and recovery in the next days. But the real recovery only can give her our Lord! We want to trust HIM everytime. HE alone can give Puschel a peaceful heart. And HE can show her HIS love and power and HIS presence. Please pray for this for the next days in hospital and home. Thank you so much!!!

May 10th
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. (Ps. 91,4)
After a really hard day and a for me (Johannes) turbulent night (with difficult talks with doctors) up to 1:00h now Puschel is coming home!!
Therfore we are very thankful. We will hope and pray, that Puschel can rest of this mega trouble for her body and her heart very soon.
God has it in control, we are sure. And you all are helping Puschel and us to stay in this trust of God. Miracles are not a problem for our God. Miracles are not a special work but ohnly a normal eternal work for HIM. We hope that Puschel can stay in this trust  for the next time.
For our God nothing is impossible!! (Matth 19,26)

May, 09th
Today it is very hard for Puschel and her Mom. Eva-Maria has only to look, how is Puschels  situation: very more difficult, then the doctor thought yesterday!
Puschels body has more problems with this very hard toxin than the doctors thought. But we know that God has all this in control, okay? I think, we can take Psalm 127,2 as HIS words. And therefore we can rest this whole night and trust HIM. And tomorrow Puschel will have Power enough to go with her Daddy at home. (Her Daddy will celebrate his 50th birthday with his Puschel in the car on the road and enjoy about our great Lord and father in heaven...!!)

Thank you for all your eMails and you messages in herguestbook. It´s so great to see, wich great big family is Puschels family in all the world. Thank you so much for all your love to Puschel. Its very helpfull for her and for us! And it shows Puschel your support and love!

Now the last part of the first Chemo is going. Thereafter Puschel get a flush to cleen her body. So up to tomorow she has time for recovery in hospital, may be for two or three days. And then we can pick up her to Bülow for recovery for two weeks.
And now it is very important (for human or doctors looks - may be, God has to do his own work...), that this chemo medicine is working to death all cancer cells in Puschels body. The problem are the side effects. The normal cells also will going death. This medicine stops all rebuilding of cells in the body.
Please would you pray with us, that God will do a miracle one or the other - to kill the cancer cells really by chemo medicine od by his mighty word!

now the time was beginning, when Puschels feeling will be not so good. Thank you very much, that you are still praying for her. And thank you for all your eMails and you messages in herguestbook. Please would you pray, that the chemo does working against her cancer? Now Pusches an allergical reaction from the Chemo medicine. She get additional a medicine for this allergy.
She is okay today but she said, she is looking like an old pied cow...
Now up to monday in the morning Eva, her female friend (is this right?), is in Berlin to be by Puschel in the hospital. Its very nice for Puschel and for us.

May, 04th
Our dear friends,
yesterday I brought Puschel to Berlin in the hospital for her first part of chemotherapy  She need really a miracle of God to have an affect of this, because the chances are very small (only 30%) by this cancer. But God can...!
Yessterday she had different tests and meetings with the doctors. Today she had a little operation to put the “port” in her body below her right shoulder. This port offer the possibility, everytime give the chemo into her blood and body.
And than today Puschel get the first part of chemo. Its working for the next 24 hours. And this three times one after the other.
Please would you pray, that the chemo does working against her cancer? Thank you very much for this. And also so much for all you eMails an messages in her guestbook and all your love and prayers!!! Puschel is so peaceful and so close by God. Only this is a great miracle for us. And so God is hearing your prayers!

Our drear friends,
now we have the results of analysis of the chondrosarcom. If we could´nt know, that God has power and is mighty, to change all things to the best, it would be the badest diagnosis, what she could get. It is the special cancer in stadium 3. And this means: her bones of pelvis are very strong infected. And she has to get a very difficult operation. But just the first step will be a chemotherapy, what can help to fight against possibly metastasis in her body and make some cells of tumor dead.
Now Puschel is at home for couple of days. On Thursday sh has to got to Berlin egain to prepare and to begin the chemo. Plesa can you pray, that Puschel is able to take pleasure in this two days here and stay in trust and joy to the Lord. And than she can be able to go in HIS name whereever HE want to be a light of God in her surroundings and circumstances. Be blessed! Thank you all!

April, 29th
Puschel has to fight with her nausea. Her pains are very strong. Therfore she still has to take strong medicine. This is the reason for nausea. At 28th in the night it became much better, so Puschel called us the first time by herself, On Sunday it became much better again. And so we could go to Berlin to visit her.
Puschels Uncle from Switzerland (he is doctor, neurologist) came also to visit her for his dies non. This is very fine for Puschel. On Sunday it was a very happy meeting with Puschel, but in the night she had to fight with her nausea again because the medicin for pains is not so peaceable for her.
Now we have to be . In the next day the doctor will get the results of analysis of the sarcom. And than they can make a plan for surgery and therapy.
But we have a great father in haven, who can do more than the doctors. We will trust HIM everytime.

April, 28th
The last information: Puschel is ok, but permanently tired. Additional she the problem to feeling everytime nausea. Her pains are very strong. And now the doctors want to try to make all these circumstances better. Therefore Puschel has to stay in the hospital for a longer time. They want to try to modify the medicine and the quantum of the different medicines.
About tree or four days later they will have the result of analysis of the tumor. And than they can define a plan of therapy or surgery. May be the surgery is the first thing, may be the chemotherapy. In about tree day we will know this.

The last information: The OP was happen. And now we have the information, that Puschel has an “chondro Sarcom” (it´s a cancer of gristle). May be, it´s better for surgery and therapy. Puschel is very trust- and faithful in God and his way. Thank you soooo much for all your prayers!!! And your eMails for her!
Puschels hope is, that all her lovley friends who have written an aMail, can understand, that just in this moment she is not able to answer. Be sure, she will catch up it as soon as possible

Now Puschel is in a special hospital in Berlin for special checks to operate her on Thursday to see, wich kind of malignant tumor is in her pelvis. She is very peacful in the love of God.

April, 22th
My dear friends,
Only some of you know that I am back in Germany since a week. I had the last 3 months  leg problems. Therefore the insurance took me back to Germany. I had to go to a hospital near my home. I had some tests the last week.
The Tests on Th and Fr like the MRI from my pelvis, CT and all the other test showed that something on the inside in the back of my pelvis is growing and destroying my bones. The doctor told me that it is not good. He send me home for the weekend and on Monday I will be transfer to Berlin where they have more specialists for tests and treatment. I can't describe what a peace, strength and hope I have. And the doctor is
wrong. Its is not all a bad thing. Yes, physically it is, but far beyond that I can see how God is shaking hearts towards Him. I know that God has His perfect plan (even if we some times don't understand  Jeremiah 29:11)
Physically I am tired. I can't do a lot. Now I understand why I have been this  tired the last months. My leg is getting worse, but I have stronger
Medicine.

December 2006

“No one ever has experienced unfaithfulness on God’s part.
Do you think you will be the first one?! No, you will never, because He is faithful!”

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” 1.Thess 5,24

That is an excerpt of my journal this past week. Let me tell you about an example of His faithfulness. On Friday Gary had to sign a check for food and Medicine because we needed it for the next week. He knew that we didn’t have a penny for that, but He also knew that La Casa de mi Padre is part of God’s work and that God has promised to care for these children. By faith Gary signed the check. Guess what?!? On Saturday morning a couple approached Gary and said God wanted them to donate money to La Casa de mi Padre… God is so faithful. One month and a lot of things have changed. We moved the children into another house and everyone is enjoying the new place. It is great to see our kids running around in the little garden area. We have more rooms in the new house, which provides more rest for our children. The previous owner left us a big dog and he is a happy camper also. He always has someone to play with. The move was a little crazy and quite busy, but for moving 40 kids, it went quite well. We had a lot of people helping us.

Now it is vacation time for the next 3 months. The rainy season is almost over and the summer starts. That means it will get windy and you won’t see a cloud in the sky. In the evening, the temperature sometimes drops to 15C / 60F. You might think that’s nice and warm, but if you lived here… uh, I get cold when we have 20C / 69F in the mornings. Yes, I know, Alana, in Canada it’s a lot colder!

In the following 3 months our children will be home a lot more often. We have activities planned and groups come in to throw parties (around Christmas). Salvadorians love to throw parties with a lot of candy and ice cream. In the summer our kids take some classes outside of school (like Computer Class or Baking Classes); its good educational training that will help them in the future.

Myself, I started a Spanish class. I am going to the university near the children’s home. I have classes every morning on Monday to Friday. That should help me learn proper Spanish.

On the November 9 I went to the immigration office because my temporary card expired that day and I still haven’t heard anything about my residency papers. So they gave me another card until April. That’s good enough for this year!

October 2006

I could go on and on with verses that tell how God cares for His children. He wants us to seek Him and His righteousness.

We have had some trying times with "My Father’s House". We’ve had children leaving for different reasons; dealing with sickness, staff changes, staff leaving and staff coming, dealing with the government, etc. Life hasn't been boring at all, my friends. I am grateful to see God working here in El Salvador.

One of our former staff nannies has a daughter who is 8 years old. She became ill with Dengue Hemorrhagic - a very dangerous sickness. The disease is carried and spread by insects. On top of that, she had pneumonia and other complications. The doctors didn't give her much of a chance and she was even mentioned twice in the newspapers for being the worst case with Dengue in the country. When she began her time in the hospital, she told her mom, “Don’t worry mom, Jesus will heal me.” And He did!! She is now out of intensive care. Praise the Lord!

Another one our staff children had the same disease, Dengue Hemorrhagic. Her parents took her to the hospital, but she was turned away because there wasn’t enough room. When they arrived back home, they prayed that she would be healed so they wouldn’t have to go back to the hospital. She had had a high fever for 5 days and since that evening, the fever went down and there was no need to return to the hospital.

We’ve also had staff leaving, which has been hard on the children. However, God have provided and has blessed us with a psychologist, a new director, a new social worker, and new nannies. All of them have the Call of God on their lives; it is easy to see the difference that makes, knowing they are not working for money but for God alone.

I’ve told you before that our house is tight on living space, you can imagine how tight it is if you have girls and a boy growing up in a small space. Now God has lead our Mission to two houses that are connected. The lady selling the houses lowered the price to half of the original! This lady has an adopted child and understands the needs the Mission has. Furthermore, the house is in a safer area and very close to where I live now. There is also a soccer field and a playground nearby – it couldn’t be more perfect.

Thanks to God for all the things he has done. For all the testing and hard times we have had, because through all this, He’s blessed us even more. We will be moving to the new house soon, so please keep that in your prayers. (21.10 is big moving day for the kids and before this we have to prepair lots of things. Thank Him who has provided the funds to move to a better home for His children. I could go on forever with the details of the new house…. We will start to move on October 1. We will need wisdom in planning the move and volunteers to help. Please pray for the move and also for the children, pray the children will be excited about the new place and for their hearts.

Prais the Lord! On the 9th I was able to turn in my papers for my residency. (My Visa was due on the 12th)

Last week we had a Mission group from Virginia here. (60 people) Some of them helped with the children, some were building picnic tables and swings on our farm for our children and the rest were the medical team. The medical team went to different locations out in the country to provide free medical help. On the team we had doctors from the States and from El Salvador. I was able to go with the medical team to help. It was neat to see the thankful faces of the people we were able to help with Medication. But also Doctors who were praying with the patients after the evaluations.

Mmm some people know and saw some freaky pictures of me after a little accident... and I had people asking me what happened so I guess I just tell you what happened.

My "sister" Whitney was leaning against me(after eating at Pizza Hut, which
is tradition Fr. nights) an other girl came up and pulled up Whit's feet. She
didn't see that I wasn't holding Whit at all. So when I realized that she
was picking her up I tried to hold her as best as I could, but I lost the
balance and tripped at the same time over a stopper for the cars on the
parking place and so Whitney felt on her back head. She had to wear a neck brace for some days. And I fell right with my face on the edge of the sidewalk and .... Mmm left a minute later to the hospital, because I was missing some parts of my front teeth and had a bloody chin. It's good that we live in a city so I was able to go the next day to a dentist. He filled up my teeth so that nobody can tell that something happened. My nerve wasn't really happy about the hit....!

Oh I am so glad, that I can stay here in this place. (But you continue praying for my residency.) I have seen and learned a lot in these 3 month I have lived here.

I told you to describe about the streets from San Salvador.
I put some pictures on my page. It is hard to describe since I got used to life here very fast. How you can see the police cars are not always in the best shape. They are often missing there license plate or a lamp. I often see a police pickup truck full of polices in the back. And in general the trucks are filled with people. That way the whole family can go on a trip. At the same time the rule is that the driver needs a seatbelt... 

We have a lot of buses on the street. And they are full-full. I don't know, how people can get out, if they have to. The doors of the buses are usually open and people stand in the door as well and just hang there. Sometimes there is so much smoke coming out of the cars and busses that we have to slow down, because the view got bad. And if our window is role down... mmm.
Oh and the strongest goes first. It happens that the light is red and everybody is driving and gets stuck in the middle of a x-road. So what happens after that? Everybody is using the horn and try's to drive trough. The biggest and loudest wins! Then there are the people on the street. They take a big risk to change the sight. At the same time the cars don't stop for people. Also there are the people selling all kinds of stuff on the street. People who are trying to get money for washing your windshield. And some who are begging for money.
That's how it is down town. My family and I we live in a different part of the city where its more quiet, but still not to safe to go for a walk by your self. (The orphanage is down town were we are renting a house for them.)

I often get the question about how my Spanish is doing. Its slowly getting better. I am learning English at the same time :-) (my family is from Virginia)

The last weeks I looked into a lot of hygienic things from MfH. We also had  a lot of doctor visits. Once a week we are able to take some of our kids to a university, were they check our children's teeth. Its kind fun if you take 10 children between 3 and 7 years to the dentist at once.

Another time I stayed at the hospital, because one of our babies has problems with seizures. You know in german hospitals people complain about bad service in the hospitals and more people then just 2 in a room. Let me tell you: this station the baby Salvador stayed they had to help one child over days breathing with there hand, because there was no machine. A friend told me that there is another hospital, were the people lay in a hall all together. And they have 2 nurses to take care of them.
So be thankful for the hospitals at home

June the 22.

 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your reqüsts be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phl 4:6-7  

My friends, God I had this peace the whole time. I know that what He dös is perfect for me. If I have to leave the country or can stay He knows what is best. Well and now I can tell you that He things that I can stay at least for the next 3 month. I just got an extended Visa. I am very thankful to God. The people at the Immigration were 100 % different then the other day when we didn't get the Residency. Everybody was very friendly this time. And I got my Visa in 30 min. I just need a stamp next week, which I paid already for. So now you can praise God with me!!! Thank you so much for your prayers!

Friends I have a prayer reqüst for you.

Since I am here we have been working on getting the Residence for me for El Salvador. (It is a big paperwork with Lowers and lots of money, but the right thing to do to stay in this country) Well and El Salvador refused to give me Residence. My Visa is dü on the 25th. Gary my Boss and Dad (from the family I stay with) is leaving for some days on Thursday(22th). He is the one who can mainly help me with that stuff, since he is also the President of the orphanage.

So my friends I ask you to pray that God gives us wisdom to do what ever is important to do. That he may help me to get the Residence even if its impossible now or an extended visa. I don't really want to leave El Salvador in the next week!! Thank you for your prayers.

My friends, the time is flooding away. I am almost here for a month. The days are never routine. You know that Children are always up for a surprise! This morning I was reading Ephesians 1:17- 21

17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.
18I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
20which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come

I know that some of you are praying for me, and I can tell you that God gives me wisdom as much as I need for the day. He defently opens my eyes for the things which are nessesary for the day. And yes, He also shows me His faithfullness every day. We oftern forgett what power we have because of Jesus. Men what a freedom we have because of Him! And that is a much greater freedom than a eagle in the air can have. We sometimes say that we like to be free like a bird, but we can have much more freedom. Well I had a nice week over eastern. I was able to spend a lot of time with my family Powell. One day we went to see some vulcanos.( My dad put some pictures on my page. ) We saw an active one, but the most of them are asleep or how ever you want to call that.
I am still learning the names. And every day I learn a little more spanish. Some of the children still have a cold. Please pray that we will get it totally out some time! I still didn't get sick, so I am very thankfull for that. You can pray that the people on the Board will make wise decisions for planning the new farm. And we need an new good sicologist. Please pray that God will send the right one to help the children.

Little story for the day...some days ago we went to the doctor. First we were planning to take 2 Kids. We ended up driving with 6 Children and 5 adults in a normal europen car. Better to use the space and let the doctore see some more kids...!

welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

Yes He knows what is best and I can see Him working already. Well let me start with the beginning. After I stayed at the airport in Atlanta I could finally fly to El Salvador. I was blessed by a couple that sat next to me; Amy and Jacob were going on a mission trip to El Salvador with their church. We had good fellowship on the flight. The airport in El Salvador welcomed me with 37 degrees Celsius. El Salvador is a beautiful country and there are a lot of trees I've never seen before. And out of my room I can hear a lot of different birds. I have the blessing to live with Gary Powell (my boss) and his family (north americans). They have a house with a little garden in the town of San Salvador. MFH (My Father's House) is the name of the orphanage, it takes about 30 minutes in traffic to get there from San Salvador. The traffic is different, but I will tell you more about that another time. There is not a lot of space at MFH, we will have to move soon. We have 48 children (8 mos. to 16 years) and 5 rooms for them to sleep in. Well, we don't always have 37 Celsius, right now it is the hot season. Soon the rainy season will begin. That means we will have a lot of rain through the night for the next month - sometimes it will rain day and night. The nicest months are usually December and January. Now to my work... my job position didn't exist before I came. I am the nurse for all the kids. That is a big challenge for me. It dösn't mean "just" taking care when they are sick, it is even harder because I don't speak spanish! But I know God wants me here, so He will work that out. So I think that is enough information for now.

thank you for praying for me. The travelling went well. I had to stop for a day in Atlanta. It was great, because I was able to met David and Melinda. I could stay at there house for the night. Sooo good. That way I even saw North Caralina (Greenville) It is so exciding. I am seeing so much things i never saw before. Now I am in Calgary with Alana for the next 2 weeks.

The time with Alana was great. (I didn't meet any bear or cougar when Alana took me in to the mountains.) Now I am in Idaho with Liesl's family.
We are having a lot of fun together. I also was able to visit Tom's family and I got to meet Russel (for those who know the people). Oh and we were skiing at "Schweitzer" ski resort (we didn't break any bones). I am really blessed by my visits in Canada and USA. On the 27th till the 28th I will be on my way to El Salvador. I am in El Salvador!!! My traveling went well.

review...:

El Salvador. It started all with an article in a magazine. It first began as just a dream, but then, by God's work, it turned into reality. Soon I will be moving to El Salvador.

I will start in June 2004. After I graduated in Stuttgart as a Pädiatric nurse, I left Germany and moved to Sweden. In Holsbybrunn, Sweden I worked on the summer adventure team at the Torchbearer's Bible School. If you want to see pictures or more information, go to www.holsby.org.  My original plan was to move back to Germany in September 2004 and find work as a nurse; however, God had a different plan. I ended up staying in Sweden for the fall and winter, working in different areas, but mainly I helped a friend recover from her past. It was that winter when my family came to visit me; my mom left a magazine on my table. Not that I had time to sit around and read, (actually I was very busy with other hobbies!) but I picked up this magazine and I was intrigüd by one article. It was about an orphanage in El Salvador that was described as a place built only by the Grace of God. Reading this article, I knew God wanted something from me; typically my response would be "sorry, but I don't have any money to help". God continüd to press this orphanage on my heart and thoughts; therefore I surrendered to Him - I would go to El Salvador if He opened the doors to the opportunity.



God often reminded me of that promise I had made to Him, and eventually I began to search to contact the man in charge of this orphanage. The fact that I didn't speak a word of Spanish, (nor did I have any money) was heavy on my thoughts; all that qualified me was my nursing experience and my God (which far outweighs financial and language barriers). With these small concerns on my mind, God immediately answered with Matthew 6:32-33, "For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you." God also began to give me a heart for these orphan children, especially as I read Matthew 9:36 "And seeing the multitude, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd." While still working in Sweden, I continüd to seek God's plan for El Salvador through the Spring and Summer of 2005. By September 2005 I hadn't heard a solid 'yes' or 'no', God wanted me to wait for the answer.



In Spring 2005, God told me that I needed to stay in Holsbybrunn, Sweden. To confirm this, I told Him that He would need to provide me with a free sleeping bag for summer camping trips. The Lord provided, and I stayed in Holsbybrunn until December 2005. The last three months of my time in Sweden were spent working in the school's kitchen - yes, my friends! Puschel cooked for 60 students!! I'll tell you, I did a lot of praying over the food!! The food was very blessed, especially when I had to cook on my own. I thank God over and over for the blessed time He gave me in Sweden. I am blessed with so many new friends. He took me in His care and I am overwhelmed by His love for me. Psalm 34:5 says, "who looks up to the Lord will shine full of joy and His trust will never fail" (German Translation). It is through God's teaching that I am guided day after day. It is so important to seek Him and He will do the rest. What a promise! I am so glad to be His child. I am a child of the King of Kings! Don't miss out on that privilege! Take advantage of it.

So now it is February 2006, and I hold a plane ticket in my hand to El Salvador. It is obvious that God provided financially and I now know 5 Spanish words, (Hola, Me llamo es Puschel, and Gracias). I am trusting the Lord with all that I am, especially because I don't know what to expect in El Salvador. I am excited to meet the orphan children and to see the places that I've only read about. God has exceeded my imagination, I am going to El Salvador - that place I read about in a magazine article! What a great God our God is! Praise Him!!!
